First two weeks of English 101

The first two weeks of English were pretty decent other than waking up for the 8:20 class time. we started reading Paul Muldoon's book of poems called Horse Latitudes and I was pretty impressed. I went to see Muldoon speak on Tuesday at 2:00 in Jackson Hall and realized that he was a pretty witty guy but one must understand that his wit is very dry. As a class we went and saw him read a few of his poems at 7:00 Tuesday night and he reads his poems very slowly and deliberately and also uses a decent amount of Irish slang. His humor seemed to catch the staff more than the students which, as I mentioned earlier, one must understand a dry sense of humor. My favorite poem that he read was the very last one about the girl and her dates, this was truly a poem that made everyone laugh and that nearly everyone could relate to. I believe that covers most of the first two weeks so now I will stop writing and I will begin reading for sociology.
